HISTORY SOCIETY MEETINGS
Meetings are normally held on the third Tuesday of the month, starting at 7:30pm. They are usually held in Stretton on Dunsmore Village Hall. Talks are free to members, visitors are welcome.

Some of the audience tried on the archers protective clothing and all remarked on how very heavy it was.
Sir Thomas Tresham, 15th Century Lancastrian knight of Northamptonshire, and his squire (alias Paul and Ken Thompson) gave us a splendid talk about 'Arming the knight'.

A Passion for Motorbikes...
Arthur shared his passion for motorbikes with the group.
Paul Waddoups with a display about the effect of the Civil War on the local community.
Jane Arnold gave us a fascinating talk and insight into life for women in Roman times.
Celebrating a Wartime Christmas. Jane showed us how to cook (with rather a lot of carrots) during the WWII period. Display of a Christmas tree with homemade decorations and toys from the period of WWII.
